Weekly Photo Challenge – Sea

I’m not ready to give up on summer yet.

Sure, it’s the 4th of September and this morning was a brisk 60 degrees, but it’s still summer till the 22nd. So, let’s all chill out with the “goodbye summer, hello fall posts.” There’s still 19 days left of summer! Let’s enjoy it!

At the very least, I will be enjoying summer this weekend at the shore. The Jersey Shore—Long Beach Island—to be exact. Yes, the beach is still open, but the crowds will be less, and hopefully the traffic will be too. Like always, this summer has flown by too quickly. So, this will unfortunately be my first and last trip to the shore this summer.

That’s not to say I haven’t been to the beach this season. Two weeks ago—which now feels like a lifetime away—I was in Maui, Hawaii. It was an incredible trip, and worth every single minute of the 12 hours spent in an airplane to get there. Though I’ve been to many Caribbean and Greek islands, Maui was something else. I really didn’t want to leave paradise and I’m left with the lingering desire to find a way to go back and live there forever.

Somehow, The Daily Post must have known of my trip, and they really wanted me to show off some of my vacation pictures. This week, their Photo Challenge theme is the Sea.

It was hard to choose only a few, but I hope you enjoy them. Let this be your inspiration to take a trip to Maui, or at the very least, to any sea/beach/body-of-water that is calling to you. Embrace the last days of summer.

  1. I am with you 100% on the embracing summer movement. I don’t care if pumpkin spice anything is amazing. I will hold onto my watermelon and sunshine for as long as possible!

  2. So beautiful! Love Hawaii. Hey, with this week’s weather, I should plan to go the Jersey shore, right? Nope, gotta work and then it’s cool again this weekend. Enjoy your week!
